Grammy winner Gwen Stefani has found success as both the lead singer of No Doubt and as a solo artist.
After dropping out of college in 1987 to pursue a music career, Stefani’s brother Eric invited her to join No Doubt. The band released their self-titled album, No Doubt, in 1992 and The Beacon Street Collection in 1995 before dropping 1995’s Tragic Kingdom. Selling more than 15 million copies internationally, the album earned No Doubt their first Grammy nomination. The band subsequently released Return of Saturn in 2000 and Rock Steady in 2001 before reuniting in 2012 with Push and Shove.
Stefani released her first solo record in 2004, Love. Angel. Music. Baby., which included the popular singles “Rich Girl” and “Hollaback Girl.” She followed it with The Sweet Escape (2006), This Is What the Truth Feels Like (2016) and You Make It Feel Like Christmas (2017). Her Las Vegas residency, Just a Girl, ran from June 2018 to November 2021. Stefani has served as a coach on The Voice for several seasons since 2014.
Stefani dated her bandmate Tony Kanal for seven years until their split in 1994. She went on to marry Gavin Rossdale, the lead singer of the rock band Bush, in 2002. The pair welcomed sons Kingston, Zuma and Apollo in 2006, 2008 and 2014, respectively. They split in 2015, finalizing their divorce in 2016.
Us Weekly confirmed in November 2015 that Stefani was dating fellow Voice coach Blake Shelton. The pair tied the knot in July 2021 on Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch.
