Along the way, she faced many hardships and horrors at the hands of the colonial authorities and their agents, such as being separated from her family, forced to attend a residential school where she was abused and tortured, losing her loved ones to disease and violence, being betrayed by those she trusted, and struggling to survive in a hostile and oppressive society. She also found love and hope in Adam Wallach, a charismatic and courageous Métis leader who fought for the rights and freedom of his people. Together, they had a son, Jake, who inherited their spirit and strength.

However, she will also face new enemies and dangers, such as the Ku Klux Klan, the RCMP, and the government’s assimilation policies. She will also have to deal with her own personal demons and secrets, such as her past trauma, her relationship with Adam, and her identity as a Cree woman.
