Almost a decade later, the duo stepped out together again as they attended the premiere of Raven-Symoné’s 2001 film Dr. Dolittle 2. As they walked the red carpet hand-in-hand, they were photographed sporting coordinating sunglasses and denim looks.

The following year, Blaize Pearman and his mother Lydia accompanied Raven-Symoné to the 2002 NAACP Image Awards, where she was nominated for outstanding youth actor/actress for her role in the aforementioned Eddie Murphy film. 

In addition to supporting his sister at various events, Blaize Pearman often posted about his sister on Instagram, giving sweet glimpses of their bond. In 2019, he poked fun at his older sister like only a younger brother can as he celebrated her birthday by sharing a photo of her sleeping. “Happy Birthday @ravensymone embarrassing photos are the best!!! 😉,” he jokingly captioned the photo.

As Raven-Symoné announced her brother’s death in December 2023, she revealed that he had colon cancer for about two years. “He is in a better place now,” she said in the video message shared to followers on her Instagram feed.

Blaize Pearman died in November 2023, just before his 32nd birthday on Dec. 16. “I love you, Blaize,” Raven-Symoné said in her video message announcing his death. She also noted that his birthday will continue to be celebrated by their family. 

“His birthday is Dec. 16 and forever will be,” she said. “I love you, guys. My family on Instagram, my family at home and my family and friends. You guys have been such an amazing support system and I love you all.”
